Not in a troubleshooting mood

So you may recall that in my Potpourri post I mentioned that I had re-installed Windows 10 on my HP Pavilion dv7 and that I was going to work through the problems this time around. So….. After installing on November 18th, I did not touch the laptop again until earlier today – and promptly decided that, since HP deemed my laptop to old to provide Windows 10 drivers for it, I was not going to waste my time trying to get it to work. So as I am typing this, the laptop is restoring Windows 7.

I know I said I liked troubleshooting (and I do – that is what I do for a living) but at this stage in my life I just want the thing to work when I turn it on. I did a cursory search for the things what were not working and decided that I had much better things to do than spending time trying to get an old laptop running something it is not designed to run.

I know I said I was going to post Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, but I figured that it would be silly for me to not post something when I actually feel like doing so. It remains to be seen if I am going to just skip one of the other days or if this is a bonus post (lucky you 🙂 )

Good night!

About cthibodeau

I am a baby-boomer who is now in his second career after spending 10 years in the military. I now work in the computer field, which also happens to be one of my hobbies. I also like to sing, play the guitar to accompany my singing, and play the piano when I practice (which is pretty much never these days)
