I guess this is an easy choice for a topic; after all this only happens to me once a year…

I am entering the last year of my 50s which means only a year away from being in my 60s (duh). You know, when I was much younger, I remember thinking that I would be 46 (!) in the year 2000, but I never really gave much thought to what would be after that. The funny thing is that I don’t feel any older and haven’t really felt any older for quite a few years. I guess once you mature – although can a guy ever be mature? – you stop getting older mentally – just slower maybe…

Not really much else to say, after all it has probably all been said in the previous 58 birthdays. Albeit not by me in those first years 🙂

I’m looking forward to seeing what is ahead of me in that great adventure that is life.

Good night!

PS: Thanks again to all of you who have wished me a happy birthday, I really appreciate those wishes.

About cthibodeau

I am a baby-boomer who is now in his second career after spending 10 years in the military. I now work in the computer field, which also happens to be one of my hobbies. I also like to sing, play the guitar to accompany my singing, and play the piano when I practice (which is pretty much never these days)

happy birthday! it is funny how we want to be older when we’re 20, 21, 25 and 30; – then we finally get smart. Give thanks for being older and wiser, and of course the Dad of Nikki 🙂
