On the return leg

The expedition has now made it to Jasper, having picked up my son, his 2 cats and most of his belongings (a vacuum had to be left behind) along the way.

The frenetic pace is taking its toll. Both my wife and daughter are saying that they are very tired from all the driving. The plan calls for them to come all the way home from Jasper tomorrow, but they may have to stop before their destination depending on how tired they are. Although I think that if there is a way to make it all the way home, they will find it.

My son is both sad and excited; sad to be leaving all of his friends behind but excited to be coming back to Victoria. While he still had friends here from before his departure, he is mostly starting anew. Hopefully we can ease the transition.

It would appear that my daughter was not so tired that she forgot about her blog. You can read her thoughts about Day 2, 3, and 4

Good night!

About cthibodeau

I am a baby-boomer who is now in his second career after spending 10 years in the military. I now work in the computer field, which also happens to be one of my hobbies. I also like to sing, play the guitar to accompany my singing, and play the piano when I practice (which is pretty much never these days)
