Travel day

I do believe that this will catch me up so I am blogging about today.

We got up at our usual time and gathered our stuff to make our way back to my wife’s nephew’s place where we will stay until it is time to take the plane back home.

I do not know if it was a regular occurrence or if we were just unlucky, but a trip that took just over 2 hours one way took well over 3 hours coming back. We hit a few spots where we just moving at a snail’s pace: it took us over 20 minutes to go 3 miles in one spot; at normal highway speeds that would normally take less than 3 minutes.

We stopped at “El Torito” again, this time one close to our destination, and had another very good meal.

After a less than fruitful trip to the mall – my wife was unable to find some of the stuff she was looking for – we finally made it to the house where the kids were really excited to see us. We were very glad to see all of them.

When I am around the kids I turn into a big kid, and they certainly seem to be enjoying it. One would think I would know by now that if I react in a way that they like to their actions, I will be repeating that reaction over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. I must be enjoying it as well since I keep trying to find funny reactions – either that or I am crazy 🙂

Good night!

About cthibodeau

I am a baby-boomer who is now in his second career after spending 10 years in the military. I now work in the computer field, which also happens to be one of my hobbies. I also like to sing, play the guitar to accompany my singing, and play the piano when I practice (which is pretty much never these days)
